Tex Year Hosts 2024 Supplier Conference:“Bonding the Green Supply Chain : Navigating Toward a Sustainable Future”
On October 24, 2024, Tex Year Group held its 2nd Supplier Conference at the newly established IEA (Innovation Exhibition Area) in the Guanyin Plant, Taoyuan, Taiwan. The conference gathered suppliers from various regions to engage in lively discussions on the theme, “Bonding the Green Supply Chain, Navigating Toward a Sustainable Future."
The conference began with a speech by Tex Year Group Chairman, Donald Hsiao, who outlined the group's vision and recent developments, emphasizing that "environmental sustainability" and a "green future" are not only corporate responsibilities but also key factors in future business competitiveness. Following this, the General Managers of the Hot Melt Adhesive Division, Arthur Won, and the Specialty Division, Terry Huang, each welcomed the long-term supporting suppliers with the themes "Cooperation for Mutual Benefit and Prosperity" and "Green Products, Sustainable Future." They also shared the global deployment and operational strategies of their respective divisions, stressing that "corporate sustainability," "green supply," and "net-zero emissions" are now essential DNA for all businesses worldwide, and staying ahead of these global trends is crucial.
In addition to the operational updates, Tex Year Group Chief Sustainability Officer, Tim Tsao, presented “De-bonding on Demand” as the group’s ESG commitments and actions, sustainability strategy roadmap, and carbon reduction goals. He also introduced the industry’s first established "Green Platform Strategy" and provided an update on its progress. Meanwhile, Julian Zhang, Manager of the R&D Center, explained Tex Year’s current and future product development based on four key technology platforms—"Green," "Bio" "Circular," and "Low Carbon"—as part of the Green Platform Strategy. During the conference, suppliers were invited to join the sustainable supply chain collaboration to co-create green business opportunities.
Recognizing that future supply chains require “Upstream and downstream collaboration and the ecosystem of mutual benefits and prosperity" Tex Year also invited its suppliers to work together on various action plans and collaborative efforts for a sustainable and green supply chain. To further enhance understanding and consensus, Professor Mingchuan Qiu from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at National Tsing Hua University was invited to deliver a speech on "Resilient Management of Sustainable Supply Chains," aimed at unifying Tex Year's partners to face the challenges of a sustainable future.
In response to environmental and climate change challenges and its corporate citizenship responsibilities, Tex Year Group implements with the themes “Bonding the Green Supply Chain, Navigating Toward a Sustainable Future " to call on all supply chain partners to work together and take concrete actions to provide "Green, Safe, and Healthy Material and Solutions” that support sustainable development and create new green business opportunities. This effort is part of the group’s commitment to achieving its "Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050" and contributing to the "SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)" of the United Nations.
